Product Information
Scientific Name: Poecilia sp.
The Tangerine Lyretail Molly is a colorful selectively bred livebearer known for its vibrant orange to tangerine coloration and distinctive lyre-shaped tail. The extended upper and lower portions of the caudal fin give this variety an elegant appearance, while its bright coloration makes it an eye-catching addition to planted and peaceful freshwater community aquariums.
Tangerine Lyretail Mollies are active, social fish that spend much of their time exploring the middle and upper areas of the aquarium. They are generally peaceful and work well with other community fish that appreciate similar water conditions. Like other mollies, they are livebearers, meaning males and females kept together can readily reproduce and produce live fry.
