Felipe’s Fish
Shipping
Everything you need to know about how your live fish order is prepared, shipped, tracked, and delivered.
Ships Monday–Wednesday
Live aquatic animals are shipped early in the week to reduce the risk of packages being held in transit over the weekend.
1–3 Business Day Processing
Orders are carefully reviewed, prepared, and packed before leaving our facility.
Tracking Included
Tracking information will be emailed to you once your order has been prepared and shipped.
Live Arrival Guarantee
Your livestock is important to us.
If there is an issue with a fish upon delivery, take clear photos of the fish and shipping bag before disposing of anything and contact us as soon as possible.
Shipping Rates
Shipping is calculated at checkout.
Shipping costs vary depending on your destination, package weight, livestock ordered, packaging requirements, and the shipping service available for your order.
Because live-fish shipments can vary significantly in size and weight, the final shipping rate will be shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.
Order Processing
We prepare every shipment carefully.
Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.
Before shipping, livestock is reviewed and prepared for transit. If weather conditions, livestock condition, carrier disruptions, or another safety concern could put the animals at unnecessary risk, Felipe’s Fish may delay shipment until conditions improve.
Selecting an expedited shipping service does not necessarily mean an order will ship the same day it is placed.
Shipping Days
Live fish ship Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
We intentionally ship live aquatic animals early in the week to reduce the chance of a package becoming delayed at a carrier facility over the weekend.
Orders placed later in the week may be held until the following shipping window.
Where We Ship
We primarily ship throughout the United States.
Shipping availability may depend on destination, carrier service, weather conditions, and whether the livestock being purchased is legally permitted in the destination.
Certain states, territories, or locations may have restrictions on specific fish or aquatic species. Customers are responsible for confirming that livestock purchased from Felipe’s Fish is legal to possess in their location.
If we determine that an order cannot legally or safely be shipped to your destination, we will contact you before shipment.
Packaging & Temperature Control
Packed for live-animal transit.
Every order is packed with the health and safety of the livestock in mind.
- Secure live-fish shipping bags
- Oxygen when appropriate
- Insulated shipping materials
- Protective packaging to reduce movement during transit
- Heat packs or cold protection when conditions require it
Packaging decisions may vary depending on species, destination, temperature, shipment size, and current weather conditions.
Tracking Your Order
You’ll receive tracking once your order ships.
Once your package has been prepared and transferred to the carrier, tracking information will be sent to the email address used during checkout.
Please monitor your tracking information closely and plan to receive the package as soon as it arrives.
Newly created tracking numbers may take some time to begin showing movement in the carrier’s system.
Weather & Carrier Delays
The safety of the fish comes first.
Extreme heat, extreme cold, storms, carrier disruptions, or other unsafe conditions may require us to temporarily hold an order.
A shipping delay initiated by Felipe’s Fish before dispatch is done to give the livestock the safest possible chance of arriving healthy.
Once a shipment has been transferred to the carrier, delivery times may still be affected by weather, operational disruptions, mechanical issues, or other circumstances outside of our direct control.
Receiving Your Shipment
Please plan to receive your fish promptly.
We strongly recommend having someone available when a live-animal shipment is delivered.
Packages should be brought indoors promptly and should not be left outside for extended periods in direct sunlight, extreme heat, cold, rain, or other unsafe conditions.
Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and retrieving delivered packages as quickly as possible.
Incorrect Shipping Information
Double-check your address before ordering.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information during checkout.
Once an order has been shipped, we may be unable to change or redirect the delivery address.
Felipe’s Fish cannot guarantee replacement or reimbursement for issues caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
Important
Live Arrival & DOA Claims
If a fish arrives deceased, take clear photographs of the fish and shipping bag before disposing of anything.
Photo documentation is required when reviewing a qualifying dead-on-arrival claim.
Please contact Felipe’s Fish as soon as possible and include your order number along with the requested photographs.
Livestock & Local Regulations
Please verify that your fish are legal to own.
Regulations regarding aquatic livestock can vary by state, territory, municipality, and species.
Customers are responsible for verifying that any livestock purchased from Felipe’s Fish is legal to possess in their destination.
