The Rubber Lip Pleco, also known as the Rubbernose or Bulldog Pleco, is a peaceful freshwater catfish known for its distinctive broad mouth, compact body, and natural algae-grazing behavior. Its manageable adult size makes it an excellent alternative to the much larger Common and Sailfin Plecos.

Rubber Lip Plecos spend much of their time grazing on algae and biofilm across aquarium glass, smooth rocks, driftwood, and other surfaces. They are especially well suited to mature aquariums with clean, highly oxygenated water and good water movement.
