Red Honey Gourami

Scientific Name: Trichogaster chuna

The Red Honey Gourami is a beautiful color variety of the Honey Gourami, known for its warm red-orange coloration, compact size, and gentle personality. Its rich coloration and peaceful nature make it an attractive centerpiece fish for planted aquariums and peaceful community tanks.

Red Honey Gouramis typically spend their time exploring the middle and upper levels of the aquarium. As labyrinth fish, they can breathe atmospheric air from the surface in addition to using their gills. They prefer calm, well-planted aquariums with gentle water movement and plenty of cover. Honey Gouramis are generally less territorial than many other gourami species and are well suited for peaceful community setups.
