The L134 Leopard Frog Pleco is a highly sought-after specialty pleco known for its striking black and yellow-to-cream banded pattern. Its bold markings, compact adult size, and distinctive appearance have made Peckoltia compta a favorite among pleco enthusiasts and collectors.

Native to the Tapajós River system in Brazil, the Leopard Frog Pleco prefers clean, warm, well-oxygenated water with plenty of structure and hiding areas. These plecos spend much of their time around caves, driftwood, rocks, and shaded areas, becoming more active during the evening and feeding periods.

Unlike plecos purchased primarily for algae control, the L134 should be maintained on a varied omnivorous diet. Quality sinking pellets and wafers can be supplemented with vegetable-based foods and appropriately sized protein-rich foods.
