Recommended Setup: A well-filtered freshwater aquarium with plenty of vertical swimming space, plants, driftwood, and open areas for swimming. Feed a varied diet of quality flakes or pellets supplemented with frozen or appropriately sized protein-rich foods.

Tankmates: Koi Angelfish can be kept with many peaceful community fish of appropriate size. Avoid very small fish that may eventually be viewed as prey and aggressive or persistent fin-nipping species that may damage their long fins.
