Gold Honey Gourami

Scientific Name: Trichogaster chuna

The Gold Honey Gourami is a peaceful and colorful freshwater fish known for its warm golden-yellow coloration, gentle personality, and graceful swimming behavior. Its smaller size and calm temperament make it an excellent centerpiece fish for planted aquariums and peaceful community tanks.

Gold Honey Gouramis typically spend their time exploring the middle and upper levels of the aquarium. As labyrinth fish, they can breathe atmospheric air from the surface in addition to using their gills. They prefer calm, well-planted aquariums with gentle water movement and plenty of cover. Compared with many other gouramis, Honey Gouramis are generally less territorial and work especially well in peaceful community setups.
