The Galaxy Koi Betta is a spectacular selectively bred variety of Betta splendens known for its bold koi-style patterning combined with shimmering metallic and iridescent scales. Individual fish can display striking combinations of red, orange, white, black, blue, turquoise, and metallic tones, giving each Galaxy Koi a completely unique appearance.

The “Galaxy” appearance comes from the bright metallic or iridescent scaling scattered across the body and fins, while the Koi pattern creates irregular patches of contrasting color. Because these traits vary naturally, no two Galaxy Koi Bettas look exactly alike.

Recommended Setup: Keep in a heated, filtered aquarium with gentle water movement. Live or soft artificial plants, smooth décor, hiding areas, and resting spots near the surface provide an excellent environment. Avoid sharp decorations that could damage the Betta's fins.

Feed a high-quality Betta pellet as the primary diet, supplemented with appropriately sized frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms.

Tankmates: Male Galaxy Koi Bettas are territorial and should never be housed with another male Betta. Some individuals may live successfully with carefully selected peaceful tankmates in an appropriately sized aquarium, but temperament varies between individual fish. Avoid aggressive and fin-nipping species.
