The Bushy Nose Pleco, also commonly known as the Bristlenose Pleco, is a peaceful and hardy freshwater catfish popular for its compact size and natural algae-grazing behavior. Unlike Common Plecos that can grow very large, Bushy Nose Plecos remain relatively small, making them a great choice for many home aquariums.

These plecos spend much of their time grazing on algae and biofilm across aquarium glass, driftwood, rocks, and other surfaces. As they mature, they develop the characteristic bristle-like growths around the head and snout that give the Bushy Nose Pleco its distinctive appearance.
