Blood Red Dwarf Gourami

Scientific Name: Trichogaster lalius

The Blood Red Dwarf Gourami is a striking color variety of the Dwarf Gourami, known for its intense red-orange coloration often accented by subtle blue along the fins and body. Its vibrant appearance, compact size, and graceful swimming behavior make it an excellent centerpiece fish for planted aquariums and peaceful community tanks.

Blood Red Dwarf Gouramis typically spend their time exploring the middle and upper levels of the aquarium. As labyrinth fish, they can breathe atmospheric air from the surface in addition to using their gills. They thrive in calm, well-planted aquariums with gentle water movement and plenty of cover. Males may become territorial toward other gouramis, particularly other males.
