Assorted Imported Butterfly Koi are ornamental pond fish prized for their vibrant coloration and long, flowing fins. Also known as Longfin Koi, Butterfly Koi develop extended fins that create a graceful appearance as they swim. Individual fish may display combinations of white, orange, red, yellow, black, metallic, and other markings, making each koi unique.

At approximately 3 inches when sold, these juvenile Butterfly Koi still have significant growing and color development ahead of them. Koi are active, social pond fish that can become highly interactive with their keepers and may learn to approach people during feeding. Although small when purchased, they grow into very large, long-lived fish and require a properly sized outdoor pond for long-term care.

Feed a quality koi pellet appropriate for the season and water temperature, supplemented with suitable vegetable-based foods and occasional treats. Take care when using rough or sharp pond decorations that could potentially damage their extended fins.
