The Peppered Cory Catfish is one of the most popular bottom-dwelling freshwater fish in the aquarium hobby. Known for their pepper-like spotted pattern and peaceful personality, these fish spend most of their time exploring the bottom of the aquarium searching for leftover food and debris. Their active and social behavior makes them an excellent addition to peaceful community aquariums.
Peppered Cory Catfish thrive best when kept in groups and enjoy aquariums with soft substrate, driftwood, plants, and hiding areas. Their peaceful nature makes them ideal tank mates for Tetras, Rasboras, Gouramis, Guppies, and other non-aggressive freshwater fish. Because they are social fish, they are happiest when kept with other Corydoras.
These omnivorous fish enjoy a varied diet including sinking pellets, algae wafers, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and high-quality bottom feeder foods. Providing a balanced diet helps support healthy growth and overall condition.
At Felipe’s Fish, all live fish are carefully inspected and packaged to ensure safe and healthy arrival. We recommend slow acclimation to reduce stress and help your new fish adjust comfortably into its aquarium.
