The Melanistius Cory is a beautiful and uncommon armored catfish prized for its elegant patterning, peaceful temperament, and active bottom-dwelling behavior. With its contrasting markings and constant foraging activity, this species adds both visual appeal and personality to freshwater community aquariums.
Like other Cory catfish, Melanistius Corys are highly social and thrive when kept in groups. They spend much of their day exploring the substrate, searching for food, and interacting with their schoolmates.
